Robert Basler, LCSW-C

A graduate of Loyola College in Maryland, the University of Maryland School of Social Work, and the University of Delaware Leadership Consortium on Developmental Disabilities, Mr. Basler has over 18 years of experience assisting children, adolescents and their families live healthier, happier lives. He is currently a clinical supervisor in the Children’s Guild outpatient and school-based mental health program; in addition, he has trained professionals and parents on topics such as attachment, trauma, foster care and adoption.

His experience with foster care, adoption, and children’s mental health allows him to successfully treat issues such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, depression, anxiety, grief and loss. Mr. Basler also treats multiple forms of trauma, including complex trauma like child abuse and neglect as well as medical trauma.

Mr. Basler utilizes a strength-based, family-centered approach to treatment. He believes that everyone has the ability to grow and heal, and that, by engaging in positive relationships with others, everyone can reach their potential. He is trained in Solution Focused therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) therapy.
