Molly Young, Resident in Counseling

Practicing Since: 2019

Molly provides a non-judgmental and encouraging atmosphere using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma informed practices.  She wants to help clients get connected to their inner child through unconditional love and compassion.

Molly believes that we are all our own best experts.  However, somehow along the way we can lose sight of our true selves, due to pain.  We all have parts of ourselves that got neglected due to unmet needs. The part of you that feels resistant or “in the way” is a protective part of you, resisting, because this part doesn’t think you are safe to be in your authentic, true self.  We do not have to be victims; we can get to know these parts of ourselves and see why we may not feel safe.  By befriending our inner child and bringing in unconditional love and compassion we begin to heal.

Molly enjoys being around dogs and going on hikes. She is the oldest of five siblings and loves to spend time with her family, go to the beach, read, and volunteer.

Molly is a resident in counseling in the state of Virginia (License #: 0704016339) and under the clinical supervision of Lee Ann Gumulauskas, LPC (VA License #: 0701008515).
