Christopher L. Donaldson, LCPC, NCC

Practicing Since: 2017

Chris believes much of our pain, healing and growth revolve around relationships with self, family, friends, and community; as well as a broader connection to a “Greater Whole.” His approach is integrative- using solution-focused tools based on the interaction between thoughts, emotions, and behavior; inner flexibility and acceptance; mindful awareness; and values-based action. Chris believes YOU are the expert navigator in your own life, and strives to assume the role of companion guide and act as a source for fresh perspectives in a safe and supportive environment.

Having earned his graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a degree in Psychology with a clinical emphasis, Chris comes with a plethora of mental health-related education to enable him to effectively treat mental health concerns.

His professional interests currently focus on how best to serve those struggling with men’s issues, life transitions, sober support, depression, anxiety, grief/bereavement, and suicidal ideation. Sometimes it helps to remember that life’s pains are inevitable, but suffering is not; Chris can help you sort the two out. Life IS challenging and we all experience obstacles on our unique paths to inner peace and a meaningful life. Chris invites you to take the first steps on a journey towards wholeness. You will begin to explore where you are, where you want to go, what’s in the way, and how he can help.

A father of two grown sons who reside in his home state of Texas, in his spare time, Chris enjoys camping, hiking, live music, reading, and serving his community.

Chris Donaldson is licensed in the state of MD (#LC11093).
