Kayla Thomas, Master’s Level Clinical Intern

Kayla is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.  She was inspired to enter the mental health counseling field to help foster comprehensive well-being across all phases of life. Kayla believes counseling helps clients build community and healthy ways of functioning in everyday living, promoting growth during challenging times.

Kayla approaches treatment using an eclectic approach in order to meet the varying needs of each client. She understands certain modalities work best for different people and is able to provide an integrated approach based on a client’s needs.

Clients can expect to encounter an inviting and nonjudgmental space when meeting with Kayla. Inspired by her own experiences, Kayla strives to create a space that is safe for clients, prioritizing the therapeutic alliance to help support clients in achieving success through the counseling process.

Kayla is an intern under the clinical supervision of Stefanie Plitt, LCSW-C, licensed in the State of Maryland (#16101) .
