Margaret (Maggie) Kazmierski, MSW, LCSW-C

Practicing since: 2001
Maggie Kazmierski graduated from The University of Maryland with a Master’s degree in Social Work. She was inspired to become a mental health counselor by her appreciation for military culture, service-related stressors, and the complexities of reintegration, loss, and identity.
Maggie’s approach to treatment is grounded in a holistic, strength-based philosophy that honors each person’s lived experience while supporting resilience, autonomy, and meaningful change. She thoughtfully incorporates art-based interventions to help clients explore emotions, process trauma, enhance self-awareness, and access healing in nonverbal and experiential ways.
Clients will experience a deeper understanding of the emotional and psychological impact of various life experiences during treatment with Maggie. Her work is motivated by over 25 years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals, families, Veterans, and military-connected populations across diverse clinical settings. She believes effective therapy is built on a strong therapeutic alliance, emotional safety, creativity, and collaboration, empowering clients to feel seen, heard, and supported.
Margaret (Maggie) Kazmierski, MSW, LCSW-C, is licensed in the state of Maryland (#12506).
