Joel Osebor, Master Level Clinical Intern

Joel is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University
Joel creates a warm, welcoming, and relaxing atmosphere, being present with clients and reflecting genuine empathy for their presenting issues.
Joel views mental health as a key area of life that needs attention as people navigate the complex nature of life and society. The world is filled with many challenges that affect individuals in multiple ways that can destabilize inner peace and the possibilities of the future. Therapy provides that space for people to explore their struggles without judgment. The therapeutic process is collaborative – build on trust, compassion, and honesty. It’s not about fixing people, but empowering them to better understand themselves, develop healthy patterns, and navigate life more effectively. Growth takes time and courage, but change is possible. Joel believes in meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique story, and helping them move toward healing, clarity and resilience. The client is not alone and seeking support is a strong and important first step.
Joel is a Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) facilitator, and a Certified Mental Health Coach (specializing in Crisis and Trauma).
Joel genuinely loves people and sincerely wants people to gain post traumatic growth. He is married with 5 children. He loves to read, watch investigative movies, and leads a non-profit that focuses on helping individuals, families and communities experience spiritual, personal, and professional growth.
Joel is under the clinical supervision of Sandy Chaplin, LCPC (Lic# LC3264).
