Alexandra Codjoe, LMSW

Practicing since: 2021

Alexandra provides a supportive, nonjudgmental, and inclusive environment for individuals navigating life transitions, grief, trauma, and other emotional challenges. She works with clients from diverse backgrounds, including those with biracial and multiracial identities, as well as individuals experiencing complex family dynamics or recovering from interpersonal violence. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy and a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological toll that systemic and structural inequalities can have on one’s sense of identity and connection. Alexandra supports clients through the often-difficult process of self-exploration and healing, particularly when it involves reconciling parts of the self that may have been marginalized or suppressed. In therapy, clients are guided in rediscovering their inner resilience, rebuilding self-worth, and establishing healthy emotional boundaries. Alexandra’s work fosters a renewed sense of identity, belonging, and empowerment, helping clients to connect with the richness of their experiences and cultural backgrounds. As a biracial and multicultural therapist with international experience, Alexandra brings a broad, culturally attuned perspective to her work. She is fluent in several languages, including Spanish. Outside of her practice, she enjoys horseback riding and exploring new places on her motorcycle.  Alexandra is licensed in the state of Maryland (Lic #32264) and is under the clinical supervision of Krystle Tinsley, LCSW-C (Lic # 23134).
