Bwang Fule Martha, LMSW

Practicing since: 2023
Bwang Fule Martha graduated from Morgan State University with a Master’s degree in Social Work. She was inspired to become a mental health counselor after witnessing the profound impact that emotional struggles can have on individuals and their relationships. In her previous experiences working with people facing personal challenges, she discovered the transformative power of listening, empathy, and guidance.
Martha approaches treatment using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients build insight, regulate emotions, and strengthen motivation for positive change.
Clients will experience a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can explore their thoughts and emotions during treatment with Martha. Together, you will identify challenges, leverage strengths, and develop effective strategies for personal growth and well-being. Guided by empathy, dignity, cultural humility, and integrity, Martha honors each person’s strengths and experiences, to promote healing, self-determination, and equity within both individual and community contexts.
Bwang Fule Martha is licensed in the state of Maryland (#33871) and under the clinical supervision of Miranda Layton, LCSW-C (#13740).
