Faith Gibson, LGPC

Practicing since: 2023
Faith Gibson graduated from the University of the Cumberlands with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Seeing clients have their “Ah-ha!” or “Lightbulb” moments has inspired her to become a mental health counselor. She enjoys providing a safe space for clients to share thoughts and experiences that they may have never discussed with anyone before.
Faith also holds a Women’s Mental Health Specialist certification and implements this expertise in treatment with clients. She takes a flexible and collaborative approach to treatment as every client is a unique individual with their own unique goals. Faith practices primarily from a person-centered approach where the client is the expert in their life and has the inherent ability to engage in self-discovery. Additionally, she utilizes other modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Clients will be met with empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard during treatment with Faith. She prides herself on maintaining a warm and welcoming safe space in session. Inspired by her research on depression and anxiety disorders and the effectiveness of equine-assisted therapy, in which she was awarded honors status, Faith’s passion for the field was fueled, and her choice to pursue counseling was solidified.
Faith Gibson, LGPC, is licensed in the state of Maryland (#LGP15388) and under the clinical supervision of Sally Fogle, LCWS-C (License #09168).
