Shawn believes that clients can choose how to resolve their own issues and can make confident life decisions. He believes his role in the counselor-client relationship is to assist in the areas of personal growth through facilitation and client-counselor partnership. The goal is to have the capacity to effectively navigate one’s complex life challenges.

Shawn conducts therapy by incorporating a multicultural approach that may include elements of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy and, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

Shawn is a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS), and has completed Seizure Recognition and First Aid Certification Training. He has a 24-year old daughter and 5-year old son. Shawn is a combat veteran. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his mountain bike on bike trails, catching the latest blockbuster movie, and attending seasonal music and food festivals with family and friends.
