Letitia earned her B.S. from Coppin State University and her MSW at the University of Maryland School of Social Work with a concentration in Families and children. Following obtaining her degrees, Letitia worked as a Rehabilitation Specialist, Case Manager, and a Clinical Therapist. She has provided individual, group, and family counseling in outpatient, community, residential, schools, and private practice settings.

In these settings, Letitia has specialized in the treatment of a variety of mental health disorders, such as abuse, anger management, depression, PTSD, and trauma. She has worked with adolescents, young adults, older adults, families, and groups. Additionally, she believes in using strength base interventions to aid any client in their healing. She also utilizes trauma informed care when collaborating with clients that have been impacted by various levels of trauma.

Letitia’s approach to counseling is allowing the client to be the captain of their healing journey, while she assist as a co-captain of the healing vessel. She believes in using empathy, compassion and understanding as strategies for aiding in emotional well-being. She also likes to take a holistic approach which include mind, body, and soul. Some other intervention strategies that she uses in sessions are art therapy, music, creative writing, and education. Teaching clients instead of labeling them is an important part of how she views therapy and uses Person-Centered Therapy as the overall treatment basis for each session.
