Jabari Douglas, LMSW

Practicing since: 2019
Jabari Douglas graduated from Howard University with a master’s degree in Social Work. As he witnessed the incredible resilience of individuals as they work toward healing and recovery, he was inspired to become a mental health counselor. He finds it powerful to see people who have faced trauma, addiction, or significant life challenges rediscover hope, purpose, and stability through therapeutic support and community care.
Jabari’s approach to treatment is client-centered and strength-based. He believes every individual has the capacity for change, and his role is to help them identify and build on their strengths. He focuses on meeting people where they are, developing trust, and collaborating on goals that feel realistic and meaningful to them.
Clients will leave treatment with a deeper understanding of themselves—their triggers, patterns, and strengths—and how those factors influence their mental and emotional well-being. Jabari is motivated by the belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, regardless of their circumstances, and these values guide every interaction with his clients. He aims to create an environment where people feel safe, valued, and empowered to share their experiences.
Jabari Douglas, LMSW, is licensed in the state of Maryland (License #33647) and under the clinical supervision of Georgina Irondi, LCSW-C (#20025).
