Faith James, Intern

Practicing Since: 2022

Faith believes healing looks different within everyone. She also feels that when dealing with mental health, individuals sometimes just need a listening ear, or someone that is not bias within their life. This is where her expertise comes in. She will provide compassionate treatment to individuals that would like to improve areas in their life that they may be currently struggling in, while also providing coping mechanisms and skills that can be applied to those areas.

She has been working with individuals with severe mental illnesses as well as experience with working with adults providing substance abuse treatment over the past two years and vocational services for the past four years. Faith has worked with individuals in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings.

Using a strength-based approach is one of the modalities that Faith likes to use with clients. She believes that this approach can empower clients and give them the opportunity to be more aware of their self-determination and strengths. She feels that this approach can assist clients with altering their mindset which ultimately can allow them to create a positive view of themselves and their future.

When working with Faith, she wants clients to feel safe in a judgement free space where they are in control of how the session goes. So, if you are ready to create the life you want, kick off your shoes, unwind and be ready to put in the necessary work to see results.

Currently in her last year of graduate school. Faith is anticipating graduation and beginning her career. She is a mother and enjoys spending her free time indulging in self-care by taking walks, traveling and trying tasty new restaurants. Family is important to her, so she tries to spend as much time with them as she can.

Faith is under the clinical supervision of Stefanie Plitt, LCSW-C, License#: 16101.
