Emily Eggert, Master’s Level Clinical Intern

Emily works collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families to identify their inherent strengths, resiliencies, and abilities to resolve their situations. She emphasizes creating a safe and open environment for all her clients in a trauma-informed, solution-focused, sex-positive, LGBTQA+ affirming, feministic focus.

Emily is skilled in a variety of evident-based treatment modalities and determines which modality to use with clients based on their specific needs and wishes. She primarily utilizes motivational interviewing (MI), psychodynamic, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), ecological systems, and mindfulness modalities with her clients.

In addition to her formal education, Emily has training and certifications in nonviolent crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, ABA, domestic violence counseling, and emergency medical response.

In her free time, Emily enjoys creating art and adventuring in the great outdoors.

Emily is under the clinical supervision of Steve Osterhout, LCSW-C (MD 09238)
