Elizabeth Paradine, Master’s Level Clinical Social Worker

Practicing since: 2025

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Paradine is pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work from Salisbury University.  Lizzie is inspired by the trust and courage clients show when they invite her into parts of their lives that may feel painful, confusing, or difficult to explain. She is moved by the ways people adapt, find meaning, and make changes in their lives. For Lizzie, it is a privilege to help someone understand their story more fully and decide what healing means to them.

Lizzie approaches therapy through a collaborative, person-centered, and strengths-based lens. Drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), she helps clients develop practical tools for regulating emotions, tolerating distress, and responding to life’s challenges more effectively. She seeks to understand the person for both their current struggles and what led them to where they are now. Lizzie views clients as the experts on their own lives. Her role is to be curious, offer another perspective, and help clients work toward goals that are meaningful to them.

When working with Lizzie, clients can expect a genuine environment where they can show up fully as themselves. Lizzie honors each person’s pace, making room for uncertainty and for things that may be difficult to share. Her practice is guided by compassion, respect, honesty, and the belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity. She does not believe people need to hide the complicated or imperfect parts of themselves to be accepted. She sees vulnerability as part of how people connect and grow. Her hope is that clients leave therapy with greater confidence in their own judgment and in their ability to face life’s challenges.

Elizabeth Paradine is under the clinical supervision of Steve Osterhout, LCSW-C, licensed in the State of Maryland (#09238).
