Chinyere Onyekwere, Doctorate Level Clinical Intern

Chinyere Onyekwere is pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology from Stevenson University. What inspires her most about being in the mental health field is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on another person’s life. For Chinyere, supporting someone through their challenges, helping them make changes, and then seeing that growth in real time is incredibly rewarding.  

Chinyere takes a client-centered approach towards treatment. She believes it is important to meet each client where they are by understanding their unique experiences and individual needs. Furthermore, Chinyere fosters a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. 

Clients can expect a collaborative experience where they are an active participant in their healing journey. During treatment, Chinyere provides respectful support and guidance to each client as they identify their individual goals and work towards meaningful, lasting changes and growth.
